Academics

Joining a sorority in college is a life-changing experience, but garnering an education is the top priority for Kappa. This is why each chapter is expected to maintain academic standards equal to or higher than their university’s or college’s all-sorority GPA. Additionally, each chapter establishes a GPA requirement for active members. 

If a Kappa struggles academically, we help her through it. The Academic Excellence Team meets with her to craft an improvement plan using study tactics and time management. We want each sister to leave college with what they came for: a degree.

“I’ve got to focus on school, what can Kappa do for me?”

• Kappa Kappa Gamma has study tables on weekdays, a list of available tutors, and a Vice President of Academic Excellence. We have mentors that will help you design an academic focus plan if you are concerned. We can set you up with campus resources, tutors, and help you develop a relationship with your professors.
• We hold a scholarship banquet annually with our advisors every year to celebrate academic excellence.
• We exchange school books and can help you plan out your PEAK map if you have any questions.
• The all sorority GPA is consistently higher than the all women’s average on our campus.
